Local Government Reaction to Healthcare Investment

John Henry, Regional Chair and Chief Executive Officer for The Regional Municipality of Durham, issued a statement regarding the provincial government's announcement of support for the multi-phase redevelopment of Lakeridge Health's hospital campuses in Bowmanville, Oshawa, Ajax, and Pickering, including a new hospital facility in Whitby. Henry stated, "These investments will have immeasurable positive impact on the health of our region for decades to come. I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the Province of Ontario for this monumental investment in the health and well-being of our residents and communities.
