Investigation Underway After Fire at Pickering Auto Body Shop

Police are investigating a fire incident at an auto body shop in Pickering. On October 26, 2024, at approximately 4:40 a.m., officers from the West Division responded to an alarm at CARSTAR, located at 1167 Kingston Road. Two individuals were seen arriving at the location in a blue Honda Civic SI. They poured a liquid over two vehicles and set them on fire before leaving the scene. The Pickering Fire Department was already on site extinguishing the flames when the police arrived.

The business was closed at the time, and there were no reported injuries. The suspects are described as male, wearing dark clothing, masks, and gloves. Photos of the suspects and their vehicle are available on the Durham Regional Police Service website.
