Ganaraska Forest to Open for 2025 Season on May 1

The Ganaraska Region Conservation Authority (GRCA) announced that Ganaraska Forest will open for the 2025 season on Thursday, May 1. The GRCA stated that all access points to the forest will be available for permitted activities starting that day.

According to the GRCA, activities allowed in the forest include hiking, biking, and horseback riding. The GRCA also advised that motorcycle and ATV use will be permitted beginning May 1, depending on weather and trail conditions.

The Ganaraska Forest covers areas including parts of Clarington. All information regarding permitted activities and access is sourced from the GRCA.
