Four Charged in Oshawa LCBO Robbery
On November 3, 2024, at approximately 4:15 p.m., police responded to a robbery at the LCBO located at 400 Gibb Street in Oshawa. According to the Durham Region Police Service, several individuals, including an adult male and female, along with two male youths, were involved in the theft of liquor from the store. The suspects were apprehended with the assistance of the K9 Unit, and a replica firearm was found during the search.
The individuals charged include:
- Hailey Newlands, 18, from Ajax, charged with robbery and possession of property obtained by crime under $5000.
- Preston Hindman, 18, from Oshawa, charged with robbery.
- A 13-year-old male from Ajax, charged with robbery.
- A 13-year-old male from Whitby, charged with robbery.
