Five Male Suspects Sought in Pickering Youth Assault During Robbery

Police are investigating a robbery and assault that occurred in Pickering involving five male suspects. The incident took place on Wednesday, July 10, 2024, at approximately 12:10 a.m. in the area of Kingston Road and Rosebank Road.

The victim, who had parked his vehicle nearby to meet a friend, was approached by the suspects while walking toward a residence. The suspects assaulted the victim, damaged his vehicle, and stole his shoes and cell phone. They fled the scene in a dark-colored vehicle.

The victim was taken to a local hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

Authorities are requesting public assistance. Anyone with dashcam, cellphone, or surveillance footage, or any information regarding the incident, is encouraged to contact the West Division Criminal Investigations Branch at 1-888-579-1520 ext. 1905. Anonymous tips can also be submitted to Durham Regional Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or online, where tipsters may be eligible for a cash reward of up to $2,000.
