Fireworks By-law Information in Clarington

In Clarington, By-law No. 2015-047 regulates the discharge and sale of fireworks. Residents are permitted to discharge fireworks only between dusk and 11 p.m. on the three days immediately preceding and including Canada Day. Additionally, the by-law prohibits the discharge of fireworks on municipal property, public parks, or open spaces without a permit. Fireworks are also not to be discharged on highways or roads, and it is advised not to light fireworks in windy conditions or attempt to re-light defective fireworks. It is important for residents to be considerate of their neighbors when planning a fireworks display.
