Federal Funding Announced for Business Growth in Southern Ontario
The Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario has announced a financial commitment aimed at supporting local businesses in the region. On November 22, 2024, Minister Filomena Tassi revealed a $375,000 allocation to the Italian Chamber of Commerce of Ontario (ICCO) to implement the CAMERA program. This initiative is designed to aid over 30 businesses in their development and expansion efforts.
The CAMERA program will provide assistance in areas such as business planning, networking, and product testing for the Canadian market. The objective is to support entrepreneurs in scaling their operations and establishing a foundation for sustained economic growth in Canada.
This funding is part of a broader strategy by the Government of Canada to bolster organizations, businesses, and entrepreneurs in southern Ontario, with the aim of enhancing the Canadian economy. FedDev Ontario is also accepting applications from small- and medium-sized businesses for projects that promote business growth and innovation, with a deadline of December 20, 2024.
