Fatal Collision in Courtice Under Investigation
On December 8, 2024, a fatal single-vehicle collision occurred in Courtice, Clarington. The incident took place at approximately 10:00 a.m. on Courtice Road, just south of Pebblestone Road. The vehicle, identified as a white crew cab Dodge Ram, was traveling northbound when it veered off the road, entered a ditch, and struck a tree.
The male driver was transported to a trauma center in Toronto, where he was pronounced deceased. The Durham Regional Police Service's Collision Investigation Unit attended the scene to gather evidence and conduct an investigation. The roadway was closed for several hours during this process.
