Expanded Waste Disposal Options in Durham Region Green Bins

Durham Region residents can now dispose of additional items in their Green Bins, which now include diapers, menstrual products, incontinence products, pet waste, and pet litter for weekly curbside collection. A limited number of additional Green Bins are available for purchase online, with a maximum of one per household at a reduced rate of $10. Additional bins can be purchased at the full cost of $19 each, and there is no limit to the number of Green Bins that can be set out for collection each week. The maximum weight per Green Bin remains at 20 kilograms (44 pounds) for the health and safety of collectors.
