The Education Quality and Accountability Office (EQAO) has published the results of its 2023–2024 assessments. These assessments provide data on student performance in reading, writing, and mathematics across Ontario. Over 570,000 students from elementary and secondary levels participated in these assessments.

The data indicate that mathematics results have remained stable compared to the previous year. Several school boards reported significant improvements in mathematics achievement, attributed to local strategies supported by the provincial Math Action Team and EQAO's School Support and Outreach staff. The EQAO plans to share effective educational practices later this year.

Grade 3 results show an increase in reading and mathematics achievement, while writing scores have declined. Specifically, 84% of Grade 3 students met the provincial standard in reading, 67% in writing, and 74% in mathematics.

The EQAO has made the assessment data available on its website through interactive dashboards, allowing educators, parents, and the public to view the results at provincial and local levels.
