Durham Region Seeks Volunteers for Waste Management Advisory Committee

The Region of Durham is inviting residents to apply for volunteer positions on the Energy from Waste – Waste Management Advisory Committee (EFW-WMAC). This committee provides advice to the Works Committee on topics such as waste diversion, management, and environmental performance related to the Durham York Energy Centre.

Application Details:

Deadline: Applications must be submitted by Friday, January 17, 2025.
Eligibility: Applicants must reside in the Durham Region. Clarington residents should apply through the Municipality of Clarington.
Requirements: A detailed resume and cover letter are required, highlighting interest and qualifications. Knowledge of waste management practices and the Environmental Assessment process is beneficial.
