The Regional Municipality of Durham is highlighting Waste Reduction Week from October 21 to 27 as part of Circular Economy Month. This initiative aims to educate residents about waste reduction and the circular economy through daily themes. The themes are as follows:
- Monday, October 21: Repair Monday
- Tuesday, October 22: Textile Tuesday
- Wednesday, October 23: E-Waste Wednesday
- Thursday, October 24: Plastic Thursday
- Friday, October 25: Food Waste Friday
- Saturday, October 26: Sharing Economy Saturday
- Sunday, October 27: Swap Sunday
