On Monday, February 10, the Durham Region Police Service (DRPS) held a graduation ceremony in Ajax to welcome 17 new recruits. The event featured performances by the DRPS Pipes and Drums and the choir, with recruits' families and friends in attendance to support them.

Chief Peter Moreira greeted the new members and presented them with their badges. The recruits took their Declaration of Membership, marking the start of their roles with the police service.
