Durham Region Opens New 311 Human Services Counter

The Region of Durham has announced the opening of the new 311 Human Services Counter at the Regional Headquarters. This counter, previously known as the Income & Employment Support Counter, has been relocated from the lower level to the first floor. It is managed by the Region of Durham’s Service Durham staff.

The 311 Human Services Counter provides services related to housing support, children’s services such as fee subsidy, counselling services, and Ontario Works. Residents can access the following services either by calling 311 or visiting the counter in person:

• Appointment Management: Schedule, reschedule, or confirm appointments.
• Document Drop-off and Pickup: Submit or collect important paperwork.
• Payment Pickup: Collect payments without needing additional appointments.
• Walk-in Inquiries: Staff are available to answer general inquiries without an appointment.

Wayfinding signage is available on both levels to assist visitors during this transition period.
