Durham Region Launches Access Hubs for Income Benefits
In the Durham Region, several new Mobile ID and Benefits Access Hubs will be accessible this spring. These hubs are designed to aid residents, including those in Clarington, in accessing over 40 income-boosting benefits available in Ontario.
These hubs will assist in acquiring or replacing necessary government identifications like Social Insurance Numbers (SINs) and birth certificates, which are key for residents to apply for various benefits. Furthermore, these facilities will help families open Registered Education Savings Plans (RESPs), potentially allowing up to $2,000 per child through Canada's Learning Bond program.
Locations for these hubs will include the Mearns Meadows site in Bowmanville alongside other sites throughout Durham Region, providing convenient access for residents who are seeking to utilize these services.
