Durham Region Applies for Siloam Bridge Replacement Approval

The Regional Municipality of Durham has submitted an application to the Minister of Transport under the Canadian Navigable Waters Act. This application concerns the replacement of the Siloam Bridge located over the Pefferlaw River in the Township of Uxbridge. The bridge is situated on Durham Regional Road 8 at coordinates approximately 44° 05’ 08.5”N, 79° 13’ 33.3”W.

The application has been filed with the Navigable Waters Registry under the NPP File Number 2024-413078. The public can view the project details and submit comments regarding its impact on marine navigation through the Common Project Search site. Comments must be submitted in writing, preferably electronically, within 30 days following the last publication of the notice. Transport Canada will not publicly disclose comments but may release them upon legal request.
