Durham Region Allocates Para Sport Grants to Local Organizations
The Regional Municipality of Durham has announced the first recipients of the Durham Region Para Sport and Recreation Opportunities Fund. This initiative, in partnership with the Durham Community Foundation, aims to support para sport and recreation activities in the region.
The five organizations receiving funding are:

-
Abilities Centre: Funding for a wheelchair basketball tournament involving three development groups.
-

The fund was established as a legacy of the Durham Region 2023 Ontario Parasport Games. It aims to enhance para sport opportunities and participation across the region. More information about the fund and application details can be found on the Durham Community Foundation's website.
