Durham Region Acknowledges Lunar New Year with Community Message

Durham Region is celebrating the Lunar New Year with a message from John Henry, Regional Chair and CEO of The Regional Municipality of Durham. The message extends wishes of health, joy, and good fortune to families of Chinese, Korean, Vietnamese, and other East and Southeast Asian descent in the region and worldwide.

The Year of the Snake, known for its associations with transformation and renewal, is being recognized as part of the festivities. Additionally, Durham Region is set to introduce a new Strategic Plan aimed at guiding its initiatives over the next decade.
