Durham Police Report Summer R.I.D.E. Program Results for Civic Holiday Weekend
Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS) conducted its second weekend of the Summer R.I.D.E. program, stopping 1,703 vehicles and charging 10 drivers with impaired driving offences.
The results for the weekend are as follows:
- 1,703 vehicles stopped
- 49 roadside breath tests administered
- 4 drivers received suspensions for registering a 'WARN'
- 10 drivers charged with impaired driving offences
- 8 other criminal code charges
During one of the R.I.D.E. checks, officers seized a loaded handgun.
