Durham Music Industry Forum to Host Events for Local Music Scene

Invest Durham, in collaboration with local venues, is organizing a series of events aimed at supporting the music industry in Durham Region. The events are designed to gather ideas for future programs and initiatives that cater to the unique needs of the local music scene.

The music industry in Durham is supported by various festivals and events, including The Ontario Philharmonic and Oshawa Music Week. Notable artists from the region include Shawn Mendes and Juno award winners like Dizzy and Meghan Patrick.

The forum will provide opportunities for networking, discussions, and feedback to guide the growth of the music industry. Keynote speaker Bob Egan, a Canadian Hall of Fame inductee, will share his experiences.

Events are scheduled as follows:

• November 6, 3-6 p.m. at Biltmore Theatre, Oshawa
• November 13, 6-9 p.m. at St. Francis Centre, Ajax
• November 27, 6-9 p.m. at The Second Wedge Brewing Co., Uxbridge
