Durham Immigration Report Released

The Durham Local Immigration Partnership (DLIP) has published a report titled "A Look at Durham: Trends in Immigration and Citizenship." This report is accessible online at durhamimmigration.ca. It covers immigration trends over the past four decades, from before 1980 to 2021, across local municipalities and the broader region.

The report is structured into three main sections: Citizenship and Immigration, Ethnocultural Diversity, and Educational Attainment and Economic Potential. These sections provide data on trends and offer insights into the role of newcomers and immigrants in Durham communities.

The report aims to inform community planning, policy-making, and service decisions by sharing data with partners and the community. It is intended to support evidence-based discussions on immigration and settlement in the region.
