Durham College Introduces Four New Programs for 2025
Durham College, located in Oshawa, Ontario, has announced the launch of four new programs set to begin in the fall of 2025. The programs include the Electric Drive Vehicle Technician diploma, Environmental Technician diploma, Immigration Case Management graduate certificate, and Interior Decorating diploma.
The Electric Drive Vehicle Technician program is a four-semester diploma aimed at training students to service electric and hybrid vehicles. It is one of only two such programs in Ontario. The Environmental Technician program, also a four-semester diploma, focuses on training students to help conserve ecosystems and protect public health from environmental contaminants.
The Immigration Case Management program is a two-semester graduate certificate designed to equip students with the skills needed to support legal practitioners and agencies in immigration, refugee, and citizenship processes. This program is one of only two available at public colleges in Canada. The Interior Decorating program spans four semesters and teaches students about design processes and space planning for both residential and commercial environments.
Applications for these programs are now open, and they have been developed in consultation with industry professionals to ensure alignment with current employer needs.
