DRPS Organizes Events to Collect Graduation Attire Donations

The Durham Region Police Service (DRPS) is seeking donations to support two initiatives aimed at providing graduation outfits to students in the region. The events, 'Gowns for Grads' and 'Suits for Youth', are collecting formal attire to ensure all students can attend their graduation ceremonies.

'Donations of new or gently used dresses, shoes, and accessories are needed for 'Gowns for Grads', which will be held on April 26, 2024, at G.L. Roberts Collegiate and Vocational Institute in Oshawa. The event 'Suits for Youth' is requesting items like suits, jackets, and ties. This second event is scheduled for April 16, 2024, at the Oshawa Centre, where donations can also be dropped off.

Community members can contribute by dropping off donations at any DRPS divisional station across the Durham Region.
