Driver Charged After Serious Collision in Oshawa

Investigators have charged a driver following a collision that resulted in serious injuries to two individuals in Oshawa. The incident occurred on June 21, 2024, at approximately 3:45 p.m. on Ritson Road, just north of Wildflower Court. According to police reports, a green GMC pickup truck traveling southbound lost control and collided with a black Buick Vera, which was also heading southbound. The collision subsequently involved two northbound vehicles, a grey Toyota RAV4 and a grey Jeep. The GMC pickup truck rolled onto its side, causing significant damage to the two northbound vehicles.

The driver of the GMC pickup, Graeme Day, an 18-year-old from Oshawa, faces two charges of Dangerous Operation Causing Bodily Harm. He has been released on an undertaking.

The Durham Regional Police Service is seeking information from anyone who witnessed the incident. Witnesses are encouraged to contact D/Cst.
