Construction Licence Approved for Darlington Nuclear Project

The Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission has approved a construction licence for Unit One of the Darlington New Nuclear Project, according to Ontario’s Minister of Energy and Mines, Stephen Lecce. This project is set to be built in Clarington, Ontario.

Minister Lecce stated that the approval marks a significant step for the provincial energy strategy, aiming to modernize Ontario's energy infrastructure with new technologies at the Darlington site.

The license denotes compliance with the necessary safety and regulatory requirements, allowing the project to proceed to the construction phase.
