Starting the week of August 6, construction crews will begin intersection accessibility improvements and the installation of new pedestrian crossovers in Bowmanville, Courtice, and Enniskillen. The construction is expected to last until September 2024, depending on weather conditions.

Traffic Management Plans

The construction will involve the following: - Replacing concrete curbs and sidewalks. - Installing tactile plate walking surface indicators. - Improving line paintings and signage. - Installing accessible pedestrian signals and related equipment in accordance with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA). - Installing new pedestrian crossovers with solar-powered flashing beacons.
