Community Grant Requests Approved by Clarington Council

On May 11, 2020, the General Government Committee of Clarington approved several community grant requests during their meeting. The following grants were awarded:

1. Newtonville Community Hall - Grant Application #20-01 was approved for $5,000.
2. Kendal Community Centre - Grant Application #20-02 was approved for $3,000.
3. Hampton Community Association - Grant Application #20-03 was approved for $3,000.
4. Brownsdale Community Centre - Grant Application #20-04 was approved for $3,000.
5. Solina Community Centre - Grant Application #20-05 was approved for $3,000.
6. Tyrone Community Centre - Grant Application #20-06 was approved for $3,000.

Additionally, a motion regarding Grant Application #20-07 from the Architectural Conservancy of Ontario - Clarington Branch was withdrawn. The remaining grant requests were referred to the Regular General Government Committee Meeting scheduled for June 22, 2020, for further consideration. The total amount granted during this session was $20,000.
