Collision on Regional Road 47 Leaves Driver Injured

A 24-year-old male sustained serious injuries following a collision with a dump truck in Uxbridge on September 4, 2024. The incident occurred at approximately 12:20 a.m. on Regional Road 47 near Paisley Lane. According to reports, a black Honda CRV was traveling eastbound when it crossed the center line and collided with a westbound dump truck. The impact caused the Honda to roll over.

Emergency services transported the driver of the Honda to a trauma hospital in Toronto. His injuries were described as serious but non-life-threatening. The driver of the dump truck was unharmed and remained at the scene, cooperating with police.

The Collision Investigation Unit of the Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS) attended the scene to conduct an investigation. Roads in the area were closed for several hours to facilitate evidence collection.
