Closure of Temperance Street in Downtown Bowmanville Scheduled

Temperance Street in downtown Bowmanville will be closed between Church Street and King Street West on Saturday, September 14, from 8 a.m. to noon. The closure is part of the ongoing renovations to Veterans' Square. There will be a soft closure at King Street West, allowing local traffic to access properties, while hard closures will be in effect at Church Street and the cenotaph, preventing all traffic from passing.

Local businesses will remain open during the closure. On-street parking will be available on Church Street and King Street, as well as in municipal parking lots nearby.

It is important to note that hard road closures block the entire road, while soft closures allow local traffic to access homes and businesses up to the point of the hard closure.
