Clarington's Mayor's Levee Opens New Skating Rink

The annual Mayor's Levee was held at the Courtice Community Complex on Sunday, drawing approximately two thousand attendees from the Clarington area. The event featured a range of activities including swimming, skating, face painting, henna art, and magician performances. Attendees also had the chance to meet TV characters Bluey and Bingo.

A key highlight of the event was the opening of Clarington's first outdoor refrigerated skating rink. Mayor Adrian Foster commented on the new facility, saying, "I’m so excited to celebrate the opening of our first refrigerated outdoor skating rink."

Mayor Foster also mentioned plans to develop more refrigerated outdoor skating rinks throughout Clarington, aiming to expand recreational facilities for residents.

The Mayor's Levee is an annual tradition that welcomes the new year with free family activities, fostering community engagement.
