Clarington Receives Seniors Community Grant from the Province of Ontario

Clarington has received a Seniors Community Grant from the Province of Ontario amounting to up to $18,630. This funding was announced during a special event at the Courtice Community Complex, which houses Clarington’s 55+ Older Adult Activity Centre. The grant aims to support local organizations that enhance social inclusion, volunteerism, and community engagement for older adults. Specifically, the funds will be allocated to a new program titled 'Age Wise – Eat Right, Feel Right.' This initiative will educate older adults on nutrition, cooking safety, the benefits of healthy eating, and independent living skills through cooking instruction.
