Clarington Public Library, Museums, and Archives: 2021 Highlights and 2022 Objectives
Monika Machacek, Chief Executive Officer of Clarington Public Library, Museums, and Archives, provided an overview of the 2021 highlights and 2022 key objectives during a presentation at the General Government Committee meeting on June 6, 2022. In 2021, the library removed late fees as part of its pandemic response. Machacek noted that the lingering impacts of COVID-19 continue to affect library services. For 2022, the key objectives include enhancing digital literacy initiatives, expanding multilingual collections, and improving space at libraries and museums. These objectives aim to support community enrichment and learning opportunities.
