Clarington Prepares for Remembrance Day Events
Clarington will observe Remembrance Day with several events across the municipality. The main event will take place at Veterans' Square in Bowmanville, which has recently undergone renovations. The square now features additional flag poles, raised gardens, and accessible seating.
The Royal Canadian Legion Branch 178 will lead the ceremony, which includes a parade starting from the Bowmanville Legion and proceeding to Veterans' Square. The event will begin at 10:25 a.m. on November 11. Other services will be held in Newtonville, Orono, Newcastle, and at Seasons Retirement in Bowmanville.
Residents unable to attend in person are encouraged to participate in other local services or watch the Government of Ontario’s Remembrance Day Ceremony online. More information about Clarington’s war heroes can be found on the municipal website.
