The Health Benefit Programs for Clarington have been renewed with Sun Life, effective until November 1, 2021. The renewal reflects an overall net decrease of 4.4 percent. The realized surplus from the current year will remain in the Municipal reserve fund. Additionally, the local library will continue to be invoiced for its portion of the benefit program as applicable.
The Orono Arena has reopened following a $3 million renovation. The upgrades include a new refrigerated floor under the ice pad, updated changing rooms and shower areas, and new rubber flooring throughout the facility.
