Clarington Groups Recognized for Support to Unsheltered Residents

Clarington, Ontario – Mayor Adrian Foster of Clarington has acknowledged the efforts of local groups who have been instrumental in aiding unsheltered residents in Bowmanville. This initiative was led by the Integrated Community Outreach Network in Clarington (ICONIC) alongside various local faith groups, service clubs, and not-for-profit organizations.

The coordinated effort saw these groups provide essential services such as warm spaces, meals, clothing, and hygiene products, which were crucial during the winter months when resources for unsheltered residents are particularly needed.

Mayor Foster expressed gratitude towards these community efforts, highlighting the significant impact made by providing free meals and creating opportunities for unsheltered individuals to access critical services.
