Clarington Facilities Now Accept Access 2 Cards
Clarington has announced that it is now accepting Access 2 cards at its community facilities. The Access 2 card, managed by Easter Seals Canada, is designed for individuals with permanent disabilities who require a support person to participate in recreational and community activities. Cardholders can have a support person accompany them free of charge by presenting the card at municipal recreational facilities and community buildings. The card is available for $30 for a five-year period.
This initiative aligns with Clarington's commitment to providing accessible programs and services to all residents. The municipality has developed a Multi-Year Accessibility Plan aimed at removing barriers for people with disabilities, including those related to access and recreation.
For more information about Clarington’s accessible programs and services, residents can visit the municipality's accessibility webpage.
