Clarington Council Updates Civic Recognition Policies

The Clarington Council has made significant changes to its Civic Recognition and Dedication Program as per the General Government Committee meeting held on November 4, 2024. The Council adopted a new Civic Recognition and Dedication Policy aimed at identifying programs to recognize or memorialize individuals and organizations for their contributions to the community.

In conjunction with this adoption, the Council decided to repeal several existing policies. These include the Flag Protocols Policy F105, the War Dead and War Veteran Names for Streets Policy PSD-DG010, and the Recognition of Individuals in Memoriam Policy PSD-DG014.
