Clarington Council Advocates for Homelessness as Health Priority

The General Government Committee of Clarington has passed a resolution urging the provincial government to recognize homelessness as a health priority. The resolution calls for the appointment of a dedicated minister and ministry to address housing needs, mental health, and addiction support. The committee also recommends the formation of a provincial task force to develop an action plan involving various sectors, including municipalities, healthcare, and community services.
