Clarington Awards Contract for New All-Wheel-Drive Cargo Van

The Municipality of Clarington has awarded a contract to Donway Ford Inc. for the supply and delivery of one all-wheel-drive cargo van. The decision was made during the General Government Committee meeting held on November 9, 2020. Donway Ford Inc. submitted the lowest compliant bid at a price of $49,443.15, which meets all terms, conditions, and specifications outlined in the request for proposal Q2020-23. The total funds required for this project amount to $57,443.15, which includes the vehicle cost and additional expenses such as decals, stripping, beacon lights, radio equipment, cargo partitions, and storage containers, estimated at $8,000.00. The approved budget for this acquisition was $35,000, resulting in an over budget amount of $22,443.15. Funding will be sourced from the Animal Services Fleet Replacement and the Animal Services Reserve Fund.
