Clarington Awards Contract for Bulk Gas and Diesel Fuels

The Municipality of Clarington has awarded a three-year contract to W.O. Stinson & Son Ltd. for the supply and delivery of bulk gas and diesel fuels. The estimated annual bid for this contract is $479,800, which includes the Net HST Rebate. This contract is essential for the operation of various municipal departments, including the Public Works Department, Emergency and Fire Services Department, Legislative Services Department, and Community Services Department. The contract allows for the possibility of extending the agreement for up to two additional one-year terms, contingent upon satisfactory performance. Funding for the first year will be sourced from the respective fleet approved operating budgets, while the estimated amounts for the second and third years, totaling $959,600, will be included in future budget accounts. This decision was made during the General Government Committee meeting on March 29, 2021, and was carried unanimously by the council members present.
