Clarington ATV Accident Leaves Man Critically Injured
A 29-year-old man from Orono is in critical condition following an ATV accident in Clarington. The incident took place on Station Street in Orono on December 21, 2024, at approximately 4:30 p.m. According to the Durham Region Police Service (DRPS), the man lost control of his all-terrain vehicle, resulting in his ejection and subsequent life-threatening injuries.
Emergency responders arrived promptly at the scene, and the injured man was initially taken to a local hospital. Due to the severity of his injuries, he was later airlifted to a trauma center in Toronto by ORNGE Air Ambulance.
The DRPS Collision Investigation Unit is conducting an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash. Station Street was closed for several hours to facilitate evidence collection and analysis.
Authorities are seeking assistance from the public for any information that could aid in the investigation. Individuals with relevant information are encouraged to contact the DRPS.
