Clarington Approves Sole-Source Contract for Gradall Hydraulic Excavator

The General Government Committee of Clarington approved a sole-source contract for the purchase of a Gradall hydraulic excavator during its meeting on April 17, 2023. The contract was awarded to Amaco Equipment, which submitted the only compliant bid of $798,612.48, net of HST rebate. The total estimated cost for the vehicle, including additional expenses such as radios, GPS units, and Clarington lettering and striping, amounts to $801,612. This expenditure will be funded from the Municipality's Fleet Replacement Roads budget for 2023, under account number 110-36-388-83642-7401. The decision was made in accordance with the terms and specifications outlined in report FSD-015-23.
