Clarington and Durham Region Municipalities Launch Food Donation Initiative for September

Clarington, the Region of Durham, and other area municipalities are collaborating to support Feed the Need in Durham during National Hunger Action Month. From September 5 to 27, residents, businesses, and community groups can donate non-perishable food items at various drop-off locations throughout Durham. In Clarington, drop-off locations include:

  • Municipal Administrative Centre, 40 Temperance Street, Bowmanville
  • Garnet B. Rickard Recreation Complex, 2440 Highway 2, Bowmanville
  • Courtice Community Complex, 2950 Courtice Road, Courtice
  • Newcastle & District Recreation Complex, 1780 Rudell Road, Newcastle
  • Fire Station 4, 2611 Trulls Road, Courtice

Other municipalities participating include Ajax, Oshawa, Pickering, Brock, Scugog, Uxbridge, and Whitby.

Items needed for donation include canned protein, fruits and vegetables, healthy snacks, breakfast food, and hygiene items.
