Clarington Adjusts Services Due to Expected Snowfall

Clarington is preparing for a forecasted snowfall expected to begin this evening. In response, several municipal programs and services will experience temporary adjustments. All municipal recreation facilities will remain open tonight, although all scheduled rentals, classes, and programs are canceled for the following morning until noon. The schedule for the afternoon will be reassessed based on conditions.

Additionally, programming at the Clarington Library, Museums, and Archives will be canceled on the morning of the snowfall. Despite these cancellations, lobby spaces in municipal facilities and recreation centers will remain open to the public. The Fitness Training Centre at the Courtice Community Complex will also be closed in the morning.

Snow-clearing operations will commence once snow begins to accumulate. Crews will follow a priority sequence, focusing first on clearing main roads and emergency routes.
