Check It Out: Mobile ID and Benefits Access Hub at Bowmanville Library
The Mobile ID and Benefits Access Hub will be available at the Bowmanville Library on October 28, 2024, from 1:00 pm to 4:30 pm. This event is organized in collaboration with the Regional Municipality of Durham and Service Canada.
Residents can access a variety of services at this hub, including assistance with obtaining or replacing government identification such as Social Insurance Numbers and Birth Certificates. Additionally, eligible families can open a Registered Education Savings Plan (RESP) and apply for the Canada Learning Bond, which provides up to $2,000 per child for post-secondary education savings.
The hub will also offer information on the Canadian Dental Care Plan, which is available to seniors aged 65 and over, children under 18, and adults with a Disability Tax Credit certificate. Furthermore, residents with low income and a simple tax situation can receive free help with tax filing.
The event is open to adults and operates on a drop-in basis. For more information, residents can visit the Clarington Public Library website.
