Check It Out: Infant Hearing Screening Clinic at Newcastle Library

The Newcastle Library will host an Infant Hearing Screening Clinic on alternate Thursdays, including July 11, July 25, August 8, and August 22, 2024. The clinic will run from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm.

The screenings are for infants aged 2 months and under. Advanced registration is required for each 20-minute session. Registration can be completed through the Tri-Regional Infant Hearing Program's website at www.childdevelopmentprograms.ca/bookmybaby or by calling 1-888-703-5437 ext. 4.

The screenings are presented in collaboration with Markham Stouffville Hospital, the lead agency for the Tri-Regional Infant Hearing Program. The program aims to identify hearing issues early to support the development of speech and language skills in children.

Parents with hearing-related concerns for their infants are encouraged to sign up for a screening. Information on follow-up services will also be available.
