The Courtice Tree-Lighting Ceremony is scheduled to take place on Saturday, December 14, 2024, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Courtice Community Complex, located at 2950 Courtice Road North, Courtice. This event will feature a variety of activities suitable for families. Attendees can enjoy face painting and craft stations for children, a vendor market organized in collaboration with the Courtice Community Association, and storytime sessions hosted by Clarington Library, Museums, and Archives.

A special guest appearance by Santa is planned, along with the availability of hot chocolate, cookies, and popcorn. Live entertainment will also be part of the evening's program. The main highlight of the event will be the tree-lighting ceremony itself.

Additionally, visitors will have the opportunity to see the future site of Clarington’s first outdoor skating rink, which is expected to open by the end of the year.
