Charges Laid in Oshawa Head-On Collision
On September 12, 2024, the Durham Regional Police Service's Collision Investigation Unit (CIU) provided an update regarding a head-on collision that occurred on July 7, 2024, in Oshawa. The incident took place in the area of Ritson Road North.
A 19-year-old male driver of a Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck was taken into custody following the investigation. He has been charged with several offenses, including:
- Impaired Operation of a Conveyance Causing Bodily Harm
- Operation While Impaired – Exceed
- Operate Unsafe Motor Vehicle
- Novice Driver - Blood Alcohol Concentration Above Zero
The driver, identified as Carson Bruce Woodrow from Oshawa, has been released on an Undertaking.
