Cemetery By-law Review and Update
The General Government Committee of Clarington approved the repeal of the current Cemetery By-law and the introduction of a new Cemetery By-law during their meeting on June 6, 2022. The resolution, moved by Councillor Neal and seconded by Mayor Foster, included provisions for staff to provide public notice and signage regarding the proposed new by-law, in accordance with the Funeral, Burials and Cremation Services Act, 2002. Additionally, the committee approved an amendment to Clarington's Fee By-law to include a schedule for the Cemetery Price List. All interested parties will be informed of the Council's decision.
