CBSA Initiates Operation Blizzard to Combat Fentanyl Trafficking

The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) has launched Operation Blizzard, an initiative aimed at intercepting illegal narcotics, with a specific emphasis on fentanyl and similar substances. As part of this operation, the CBSA plans to heighten the scrutiny of shipments entering and leaving Canada, utilizing the National Targeting Centre for risk assessments.

According to the CBSA, the operation has led to significant drug seizures in collaboration with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police and local law enforcement agencies. These efforts are ongoing, with the primary goal of curbing the illicit distribution of synthetic drugs within Canada and globally.
